Ax.c Honoured at the 2026 Grands Prix du Design

A well-deserved recognition for Ax.c’s architecture! Menkès Shooner Dagenais LeTourneux Architectes (MSDL) stood out at the 2026 Grands Prix du Design gala, earning the title of Grand Winner in the “Interior Design – Special Awards / Interior + Staircase” category for the design of our space.

This distinction highlights the work of the teams who helped transform the former Montreal Stock Exchange trading floor into a hub for connection and collaboration within the innovative entrepreneurial community.

Our iconic red staircase takes centre stage

You can't visit Ax.c without noticing it! With its vibrant red colour and central location in our space, our staircase has quickly become one of Ax.c’s most recognizable features, and undoubtedly its most photographed!

Designed by MSDL and crafted by Quebec artisans at Atelier Sima, this staircase is much more than an architectural feature. It embodies the very essence of Ax.c: a place where ideas flow and connections are made.

Three distinctions worth celebrating

In addition to this prestigious award, Ax.c’s architectural project also received two Gold Certifications in the following categories:

  • Office / Agile Workplace & Coworking, recognizing the design of a collaborative environment adapted to new ways of working.
  • Special Awards / Renovation (Before & After), celebrating the architectural transformation of our space and the preservation of its historic character.

Together, these three distinctions recognize MSDL’s outstanding work and an architectural vision that brings together heritage, contemporary design, and the needs of our entrepreneurial community.
